Sharing Our Curriculum - Term 4

We send home more detail about the activities and themes for each term. These sheets will have advice on activities you may like to do with your Pre-school child. If you need a replacement sheet, please speak to your child's Key Person.

In Term 4 (February Half Term - Easter), in addition to following the children's interests and opportunities that arise, our focus topic is Understanding the World - The World

USEFUL WEBSITES THIS TERM:

EVENTS/ACTIVITIES AT PRE-SCHOOL:

​

  • Talking about the children's pets and how to look after them, having visits from a few ? 

  • Forest school - talking about and looking for animal habitats in the wood, teaching care and concern for our environment.

  • Growing cress seeds.

  • Planting vegetable seeds and caring for them.

  • Building a bug hotel in the garden

​

IDEAS FOR HOME ACTIVITIES:

​

  • Well behaved pets welcome to come to visit Pre-school ( please talk to Stella to arrange a suitable time/date)

  • Make your own bug hotel for your garden

  • Bring in your child's drawings of their pets or a relative/friends pet

  • If you are a keen gardener we would love some help to plant seeds with the children in our vegetable trug.

  • Visit a farm or zoo to see how animals are looked after

Don't forget to fill in a WOW! slip (available in the lobby) for anything your child does at home which you feel they need recognition for. Also please post any photos on you childs Tapestry learning journey, we love seeing what they do .
