Sharing Our Curriculum - Term 4

We send home more detail about the activities and themes for each term. These sheets will have advice on activities you may like to do with your Pre-school child. If you need a replacement sheet, please speak to your child's Key Person.

In Term 4 (February Half Term - Easter), in addition to following the children's interests and opportunities that arise, our focus topic is Understanding the World - The World

  • Forest school - talking about and looking for animal habitats in the wood, teaching care and concern for our environment.

  • Growing cress seeds.

  • Preparing our allotment plot at Cogges farm.

  • Planting vegetable seeds and caring for them.

  • Building a bug hotel in the garden

  • Well behaved pets welcome to come to visit Pre-school ( please talk to Stella to arrange a suitable time/date)

  • Make your own bug hotel for your garden

  • Bring in your child's drawings of their pets or a relative/friends pet

  • If you are a keen gardener we would love some advise on what vegetables to plant and when ( please speak to Emma or Vicki)

  • Visit a farm or zoo to see how animals are looked after

Don't forget to fill in a WOW! slip (available in the lobby) for anything your child does at home that you'd like to tell us about - this can be anything, big or small!
